A small family of apps

I did not want a store with ten file managers in it. Singularity ships a small set of apps I actually use, and that is the point: enough to cover a day, nothing to wade through.

There is a file manager, Files, with list, grid and column views. Two editors: Edit for code, with Tree-sitter and the tabs down at the bottom so the screen is all code, and Write for markdown and reading PDFs. A terminal, Leafs, that splits into panes and remembers your SSH boxes. Music that takes its color from the album art, Photos, a video player, a Calendar, a Calculator, a system monitor, and a git client. A keyring keeps your secrets out of sight. And a Store for when you want more.

What ties them together is libsingularity: the same primitives, the same style, the same accent, the same bubble navigation. Moving between them feels like staying in one place, so learn one and you mostly know the rest.

They are not all the same age, and I would rather say so than pretend. Some are mature, some are young and rough. But they sit on the same foundation, which means they get better together. The full list, app by app, is in the docs.
